About Us
The onset of the global pandemic led to the birth of PRS, as a small team of friends and business acquaintances worked together to identify and develop a method of removing SARS-CoV-2 and, by default, other airborne viruses from large commercial buildings. The use of UVC light was an obvious foundation as it has been used in water purification and surface cleaning for many years.
The first prototype system, developed in mid-2020, has continued to be refined and improved to the extent that it now holds 4 UK patents. Our initial design, and supporting scientific calculations, proved to be very accurate when BSL3 lab testing in 2021 confirmed our high expectations where we were able to prove the ‘kill’ performance against a cross-section of viruses, bacteria, and fungi, ranging from Measles to Aspergillus Niger (Black mould). UV and electrical safety accreditations were also attained to ensure the utmost peace of mind for clients. Please click here to view our detailed testing information.
This comprehensive testing was subsequently supported by the performance in a Canary Wharf pilot installation where comparison was made between the floor with PRS and the 9 floors without. Our technology produced compelling results on the PRS-protected floor by reducing relative airborne bacteria by 97-99% and mould counts by 78-94%. See the detailed results in our Case Study report here.
The pandemic and has brought the subject of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) to the fore. PRS is a key player in this arena as our systems are able to deliver safe, pathogen-free air recirculation within large indoor spaces, ensuring increased confidence and a better environment for occupants. Whether we are tackling specific pathogens in a medical setting or just reducing general airborne infections we have a high-performance solution for almost all problems.
